Trying new things and taking them as challenges always motivates me to go beyond my abilities. And during this process, manifestation has definitely played a significant role—I truly admire that. Otherwise, without any formal training or learning, I could have never imagined creating this piece of artwork. This was only my second attempt (I’ll share the first one another day).
Here’s what I made this time:

Materials used:
- Canvas – 30 × 20 inch
- Acrylic colors
- Marble powder
- Piping bag
- Acrylic golden marker
- Glue (Fevicol MR)
Things I learned:
Since this was only my second attempt at this style, everything I did was part of my learning journey. But here are a few key takeaways:
- Painting a single color across an entire canvas looks simple, but it’s tricky. I misjudged the amount of paint I needed, so I had to mix the background color multiple times—struggling each time to match it exactly.
- Layering with multiple coats really helped me get the right consistency. Always go for multiple layers instead of one thick coat.
- Choosing the right brush matters a lot. I first used a 1-inch brush, but switching to a 1.5-inch brush made a huge difference.
- Getting the right consistency of marble powder for the structure was tough. I had to try a couple of times before I got the correct form. Handling and moving the paste with the piping bag also took practice—the size of the opening and the way I moved my hand determined the shape and flow of each line.
- Coating all the lines with the same background color first was a big help. When I later applied the golden color, the surface was smoother and the marker stuck better.
- I did try using golden acrylic paint with a brush, but it didn’t stick properly (not sure why—if you know, I’d love your guidance). In the end, the golden marker saved me!
THAT’S IT
Nice work 👍
Thank you
